Bob's Rogues Character: "Hans-Ole Jochumsen"

Hey! Here's my character for RoC, just in time for Rising Phoenix. I'm going to perfect the backstory blurb, but the mechanics are locked in, assuming I did the university math right (I think I did). Looking forward to playing with everyone! I'll post a complete character sheet in the next day or so.

It wasn’t supposed to be like this for Hans-Ole. While he wasn’t born with every advantage in the world, he was certainly born with enough of them. Not even some bumps in the road (parents lost at sea, family fortune lost with them) were enough to slow him down. His real trouble boiled down to two things: a fundamental inability to pass on the chance to run a scam, confidence game, or grift, and a total lack of more mature voices in his life to tell him not to. And the fancy university education and Rasmussen training that the last of his parent’s money paid for was no help, if anything, it spurred him to greater and more elaborate schemes. Eventually, the walls closed in. The smuggling, the forgeries, and the embezzlement had all caught up to him, and no amount of fast talk was going to make everything better. The only way out was out. Hans-Ole took the first job he could find on the first ship out of town he could find, barely ahead of the various victims, creditors and authorities after him.

Hans-Ole might be rash, but he’s not stupid. He’s decided to view the recent unpleasantness as an opportunity. He’ll learn from his mistakes, and turn over a new leaf. He’s not such a bad guy, not really, he just got caught up in the excitement of youth and made some mistakes. He doesn’t know much about Canguine, which he’s learned is his destination, but he’s sure it’s as good a place as any to make an honest living.
